  • Summary: Is your “Son of Man” still in flesh, or is He taken up in glory? (I Timothy 3:16)
  • Quote: Jesus was made lower than the angels so that He might deliver us human beings (who had fallen lower than the angels) from slavery (Hebrews 2:5-18).
  • Quote: Jesus appeared on earth for the sake of you and redeemed you with His precious blood. Now, if you call Him Father, be holy like Him, and live your whole life in fear. (I Peter 1:15-19)
  • Quote: If you can sin casually, you haven’t seen the real value of the blood of Jesus, that it is far more valuable than even gold and silver. (I Peter 1:18-19)
  • Quote: If you want the devil and his agents to be upset at you, proclaim that Jesus is standing at the right hand of God. Be warned, however, that it might kill you! (Acts 7:56-60)
  • Quote: Jesus standing at the right-hand of the Father means that you do greater works than even Jesus did when He was on earth (John 14:12). Are you experiencing the reality of this in your life through the power Holy Spirit?
  • Quote: The secret to coming to an overcoming life is to come boldly to God’s throne to ask for mercy and grace in your time of need (Hebrews 4:14-16), knowing that Jesus is seated at the right-hand of that throne of power (Luke 22:69, Mark 16:19), and that He is making intercession on your behalf because He can sympathize with your weakness (Romans 8:34).
  • Quote: Jesus has already Himself been glorified. But, when He returns He will be glorified in the persons of His Holy ones (II Thessalonians 2:9-12).
  • A Song Holy Angels Cannot Sing:
Angels never knew the joy that is mine
For the blood has never washed their sins away
Although they sing in heaven there will come a time
When silently they’ll listen to me sing, “Amazing Grace”
For it’s a song holy angels cannot sing
“Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound!”
It’s a song holy angels cannot sing
“I once was lost but now I’m found”
“Holy is the Lord” the angels sing
Before the throne of God continually
For me to join that choir would be a natural thing
But they just won’t know the words, “Love lifted me”
  • Revelation 5 – a paraphrase:
[1] I saw a scroll in the right hand of the One who was sitting on the Throne. It had writing on both sides and was fastened with seven seals. I then saw a powerful angel, calling out in a voice like thunder, “Is there anyone who can open the scroll, who can break its seals?”

[3] There was no one – no one in Heaven, no one on earth, no one from the underworld – able to break open the scroll and read it.

[4] I wept and wept and wept that no one was found able to open the scroll, able to read it. Suddenly, one of the Elders said, “Don’t weep! Look – the Lion from Tribe Judah, the Root of David’s Tree has conquered. He can open the scroll, can rip through the seven seals.”

[6] So I looked, and there, surrounded by Throne, Animals, and Elders, was a Lamb – standing tall, but on Him were wounds that once had caused His death. He had seven horns and seven eyes – the Seven Spirits of God sent into all the earth. He stepped forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the One sitting on the Throne. The moment he took the scroll, the Four Animals and Twenty-four Elders fell down and worshiped the Lamb. Each had a harp and each had a bowl – a gold bowl filled with incense, the prayers of God’s holy people.

[9] And they sang this new song:
“Thou art worthy to take the scroll and break open its seals,
For you were slain and paying in your own blood,
You bought men and women from all over the earth
            As gifts for God.
You made them a Kingdom and Priests to our God,
            To rule over the earth.”

[11] I looked again and heard a company of millions Angels around the Throne, the Animals, and the Elders. They were singing loudly:
            “The slain Lamb is worthy
To receive all power, all wealth, all wisdom, all strength,
All honor, all glory, and all blessing!”

[13] Then every creature in Heaven and earth, in underworld and sea, joined in – all voices in all places, singing:
“The One who sits on the Throne and the Lamb
Are worthy of all blessing, all honor, all glory, and all strength
For ever and ever and ever…”

[14] The Four Animals called out, “Amen!” The Elders fell to their knees and worshiped.
