Psalm 33:13-15 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His habitation He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works.
(18-19) Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.
Psalm 34:5 They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. (6) This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
(15) The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.
33:20-22 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name. Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in You.
When in our conscious mind we meet the Lord’s gaze, His glory is reflected in our face. There He guides us with His eye, and does not need to harness us with a bit and bridle to lead us.
How does the Lord Jesus lead you?
Is it through circumstances that you are channeled in His way or Have you looked to Him, become radiant and lost all your shame? Here we read His face…Here He guides us with His eye.
The bit and bridle are for those who have no understanding (32:9) but to those who look back into His gaze as He looks upon them…there is understanding deeper than words.
As Jesus said, “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore, your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.” Matthew 6:22
