- Summary: The time to wake up from sleep is while it is still dark (Romans 13:11-14).
- Quote: Darkness has a cozy feeling about it; no wonder the world loves darkness more than the light.
- Quote: To love amid a world full of hate is to be awake in the middle of the dark night.
- Quote: If you don’t love your brother, then you’re only dreaming the Christian life that you think you’re living (I John 2:9-11).
- Quote: One type of “talent” that God has given us is people whom he asks us to love — beginning with your spouse at home. Many people refuse to love, calling God hard and exacting. God will reply, “You wicked, lazy slave!” (Matthew 25:24-26).
- Quote: If you’re in a happy marriage that God is not happy with, you’re wasting your time because it will one day be destroyed.
- Quote: For a husband and wife to truly learn how to love each other, their eyes must be not on each other, but on Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:24-25).
- Quote: The real YOU is living in a shell; one day you will leave your shell behind (I Corinthians 7:29-31).
- Quote: Christ’s return will be like a trap to many Christians because the Devil lulled them to sleep with the spirit of:
- dissipation and drunkenness
- sensuality and sexual promiscuity
- strife and jealousy
- the worries of life
- Quote: Having faith is being spiritually awake (Romans 1:17). Its opposite — worry — is being spiritually asleep.
- Quote: Are you living in this world as if you do not make full use of it?
- Quote: The Devil will take your failure and turn it into double trouble by allowing you to get discouraged over it. God can take your failure and turn it into double blessing by bringing good out of it. Have faith and don’t give up!
- Quote: The Devil has cleverly blunted the sword (the Word of God) for many Christians by captivating their minds with things like politics, entertainment, sports, etc.
- Quote: The same Bible that promises that things will get bad in the end times, also promises that we need not worry at all!
- Quote: It is to help keep each other awake that we fellowship in the Church as Christ’s Body (Hebrews 10:23-26).
