And You Are Complete In Him

How complete is your Christian life? Has Christianity brought you into Christ Jesus in such a way as to complete you?

I have often wondered at Christians? Why do they seem so restless? As if they are searching for something… something to satisfy their inner man… something to add to their life and make it complete.

In the letter to the Church at Colosse, the Holy Ghost speaks clearly of the fullness and completeness of Jesus Christ, how He has completed the work of Salvation for every person:

In Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3). Instead of adding Jesus to our life, perhaps, if every Christian would exchange everything they are and claim to be for Jesus Christ, it would bring a major revolution to Christianity as we know it.

If we truly believed He is the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and that in Him all this fullness dwells, then we would make the ambition of our life, to be hidden with Him in God (Colossians 3:3).

Is this the goal of your Christian experience? To be hidden with Christ in God?

We work so hard to put our members upon the earth to death. We focus so many of our efforts and energy on putting off the old man with His deeds.

But there is a secret hidden with Christ in God. This secret is not known to the living, only to those who died, and have their lives hidden with Christ in God.

Here the fullness of Christ is experienced in such a depth that it completes us in Him. Here we lose our insecurities and fears and are made perfect in His Love.

Here we become complete in Him.

  1. Very good brother. Thanks for sharing! What an awesome and great salvation it is for Jesus to envelop us in His arms and hide us from everything around us.
