A Timely Purpose For Our Life

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. There is a timely purpose on every human life that is born. A time to be born, and a time to die” (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2).
In our Heavenly Father’s world, not one life is a mistake or accidental. He, the ruler of the universe, has a time and a purpose for every life to be born and a time for every life to die.
(v14) I know that, whatever God does, it shall be forever: nothing can be added to it, and nothing can be taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him.
If we believe that our life is controlled by our Heavenly Father from the day we were born to the day we die, we will live a life of peace and rest.
If we believe that our life and everything in it is a gift from our Heavenly Father, we will enjoy the journey as He tells us to do (v12) – “I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice , and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God.”
The devil would like us to see life as a curse. Like Job did when he was suffering under Satan’s attacks on his life. Job 7:11 we speak in the anguish of our spirit and complain in the bitterness of our soul.
Job was a righteous man, and we need to respect him as such. However, His story is written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. We have his story written for us to understand the ways of our Heavenly Father with us as his children. Once Job understood this, after the Lord rebuked him, He laid his hand upon his mouth and repented.
Yes, we live in a world that is cursed, and full of sin. However, we serve a Perfect Heavenly Father who has blessed his children with all the spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
Our life has different seasons of time and has a purpose for every season. So I encourage you my fellow brothers and sisters; believe that every day is a new gift from God and every experience that day is a gift from your Heavenly Father, for you to enjoy. It is the gift of God!
Here is a little saying my wife, Katie had posted on our refrigerator when our son, Christian was still alive; “Life is a gift, therefore we call it the “present”.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 – “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
